He was beaten blue black, lynched and was burnt alive.
The most perplexing part of the story was the fact that there were armed military officers right there at the justice scene, and they couldn't even stop the people from carrying out the execution, Till the victim was burnt into arshes.
In response to this action, many compassionate Nigerians were really pissed and bittered, questioning the duty of the security services closer to the people, of such menace event to have happened in their presence, and no one could be chastised. This set of people actually kicked against jungle justice, saying the people shouldn't taje law into their hands.
However, there are some categories of Nigerians that though felt irritated by the act but still support the ideology of sword by sword, that the lynched victim deserved it, in their defense to this, the believe even if the law took over that case, the victim may not be killed, meanwhile we all know the law of the penalty for a murder case is death, he may be eventually released, and in such case legal justice is not effective..
